Kamloops Wildlife Park Combo

Visit the British Columbia Wildlife Park and then stop at a winery and/or craft brewery. Or cruise the city for a look around, or visit some of BC’s finest city parks.

First… With over 40 wildlife species, The British Columbia Wildlife Park is a great stop in the Kamloops area. Birds of prey, three different bear species, canines and big cats, hoofstock, reptiles and amphibians, and more! Including this guy, or gal. They weren’t quite sure at the time?

A recently hatched peafowl. August 2017

A great opportunity to see a variety of animals from Canada and other countries. We will walk a fair distance to see the whole park so wear good shoes. Hats are also a good idea on hot days. If you don’t want to walk you can still enjoy something near the Visitor Centre from the daily activity schedule.

Huh? Summer 2017. Not the 1850s gold rush?!?

From the British Columbia Wildlife Park website…

In 1965, The Greater Kamloops Zoological Society was registered under the Societies Act. Their site says,

Over the fifty year history of the Society, the BC Wildlife Park has been continually enhanced through the tremendous support of volunteers and business professionals throughout the province.

They work hard to be recognized as a leader in conservation and tourism.
